Maximal weight of asset classes

Updated by Laurène

When markets are over- or undervalued, Selma may deviate from your planet's blueprint. For these deviations, the following maximum weights apply:

Cash

Max 100%

Precious Metals (Gold & Silver)

Max. 25%

For the following asset classes, a factor of 1.5× applies.

In case the share of an asset class in the blueprint is 50%, the maximum of this asset class is 75%.

  • International companies (equity)
  • Swiss companies (equity)
  • Private Equity
  • Loans to Countries (Government Loans)
  • Loans to Companies (Corporate Loans)
  • Real Estate

For small target allocations in individual categories, it can occur that the size of an (additional) single ETF share might be bigger than the entire range. In such cases the amounts currently invested may be outside of the range for this technical reason. In any case, Selma is sticking as close to the optimal allocation as possible and these technical deviations will automatically resolve as your portfolio grows. In addition, Selma uses protective mechanisms to avoid excessive buying and selling; in such a cooldown phase, the distribution may also be temporarily out of range.
